This two friends is completely different from my animation, Morph gets angry at his friend fro being super greedy, but the reason i chose this animation was because they both the same thing (same species if i may say) yet they done get on, but my animation is based around a man and a cat yet they both get on very well.
This is another example of animation that i looked before creating my animation.
create the animation i will be using animation clay to create the characters, i will be creating a cat, a man, two frogs which are gnomes , a table, and trees. i will also create a wheel chair using card boards.
Creating the characters
one of the two trees i created using animation clay .
the second tree, i used animation clay for this one as well, and to stick the pieces together i used a wire.
The tools i used for creating the Characters ( and The glue was to stick the background pictures together,)
I created two sun-flower but i ended up not using the massive sun-flower due to changing my mind about what i wanted my animation to be about.
the plastic container i kept my characters in
my first try in creating the cat (i know it doen't look so good) pluse the legs ended up being too small/
just a picture of my cat and the tree.
the cat posing like a super Model next to the flowers
the cat wearing a tie
the table and a chair , which i created for the man but than i ended using it for the cat, due to having the man on wheel
After creating my characters i decided to make the cats legs a little longer because it was two short, and he couldn't push the wheel char around.
The stage and background.
i used this grass picture for the ground , so that i wont have to lismt where i wanted to put the camera, because if i didn't I use this picture for the ground , i would've endd up having trouble in showing the ground becuse if i did show the ground with out this picture it would just be a plane table nothing else.
Filming
To film my animation i used ISTOP MOTION, and HUE cameras, in order to create the animation i had to move my characters by hand and take pictures with the hue camera, in each second there was 25 frames, in order for the animation to look good i had to move the characters in very small steps.
This where I ended up having trouble with the cats legs, and i have to make his legs longer so he would be tall enough to push the man on the wheel chair./
the man reading a news paper.
the man and the cat sitting together.
The animation Piece/.
Music and credits.
To add the credits i used Imovie, first i imported the video into Imovie, to do that i clicked on file in Imovie and clicked on import movie.
After importing the animation nto imovie, i than clicked on file and "create new project". after that i highlighted the animation and dragged it into the new project library.
to add the the beginning credits i dragged and effect from the Title library and dropped it onto the beginning of the film. the title i chose was called "Organic Lower" and for the ending credits i chose "four corners", and after finishing with the credits i than clicked on "share" and "export movie".
To add the music i used Garageband, first i created a new project and opened the video in Garageband, i than searched youtube for copyright free music. I found this one here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P6BDYegbbQw) i than downloaded it using online video converter, after downloading the music i than added it to my film in garageband.
at the very end of the film just before the credits i clicked on "track" and "fade out~" to make the music fade out and nit to be in high volume.
Finale piece.
Evaluation
creating this piece of animation was harder than i thought , well creating the characters was easy, i had no problem when i was creating the characters, but my problems started when i started filming, i realised the cats legs were too small, and i my ideas all changed on , what i wanted my film to be, for example i wanted the man to be watering flowering with the cat, but it turn out to be very difficult to do with not much time, the reason for having no time was because i spend most of the time creating the characters. when i ended up with all these difficulties i decided to have the man with a broken leg and the cat with longer legs, and i created a wheel chair for the man to have him being pushed by the cat, when i done that everything became easier. when editing the film it was nothing difficult , and from creating this animation i learned how to use Hue Cameras and garageband to add music to video which i didn't know before creating this animation. If i could start doing this animation from the very beginning i wouldn't change my characters, but what i would change , would be the amount of time I wasted doing just the characters, I created the characters in i think 3 weeks or even longer , and when i started filming i had to changed a lot of things in my characters for example the cats legs, and i also had to create a wheel chair in about 15/20 minutes because i didn't have much time , i didn't want to wast any more time. To be honest I'm so happy with my final piece, i didn't expect it to turn out like that, but I'm happy with it.
In this screen shot is where i struggled with, when i had to turn the wheel chair and hand the crippled man the newspaper.
this part was quit difficult to do because i had to make the cat move and try to make some movement to the man too.
i have to say creating this part was difficult at some point for example being carful not to make the cat to move too far, but there was a ball under the wheel chair which moved while i was moving the cat , it added a little touch to the film which was great.
looking at the models from morph i have to say they show some emotions , and they are created by professional, and looking at my models i quit happy to compair them to morphs characters i know mine didn't have any finical expressions but the amount of work i put into them and the way they looked at the end i'm glad to say i did a good job.
this screen shot of trapdoor was quit interesting, comparing it to mine i saw how ( slither) (the blue character ) only moved it's hands and the skull he was holding was the only thing talking and moving it mouth, which made me realise when i was creating my animation i though the character need to make a a lot of movement which why i struggled when i first created it, and the characters from trapdoor had massive bodys and just feet which makes it easier to create rather than what i done , creating long legs and struggled through out creating it because the cat kept falling and the man kept falling until i had to create a wheel chair for him to make it a little easier for myself.
